According to 63 percent of Poles, the country’s overall situation is developing in the wrong direction.
A rise in pessimistic sentiments over the past few weeks is attributed by the CBOS Institute to nationwide protests of mostly young people following the signing by the Polish government of the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement, ACTA.
The number of people holding critical views of domestic developments has increased by 14 percent since July 2011, while that of optimists has fallen by 10 percent.
Close to 50 per cent of Poles are critical of the standards in Polish politics, and here, too, the CBOS Institute points to the far-reaching change of attitudes of young people. (mk/jb)
