150,000 info-packs will be distributed around venues hosting Euro 2012 in Poland, which begins on 8 June, with leaflets printed in six different languages, under the slogan “I play fair, I use a condom”.

Director of the National AIDS Centre, Anna Marzec-Bogusławska, has told the TVP public broadcaster that the message of the campaign is: “have fun but avoid the risk”.

“If fans have sexual contact then they must remember to use condoms,” she adds.

The campaign will also include adverts on TV, radio, internet and billboards.

Currently, there are around 15,000 people diagnosed HIV positive in Poland, although it is estimated that between 30 and 35,000 have contracted the virus. (pg)
