NGOs from post-Soviet states meet in Poznan

An Open Society Forum of Eastern Partnership is being held in Poznan, western Poland.
The forum has brought together some 300 representatives of NGOs from Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbeijan and Armenia, as well as from EU member states.
The debates focus on varius aspects of European integration and the challenges in the building of democratic and open societies. Addressed to the six post-Soviet countries, the Eastern Partnership project is a Polish-Swedish initiative designed to help these countries in their step-by-step integration with the European Union.
Tomorrow the Forum will be addressed by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who will stop over in Poznan on his way back from Berlin. (mk)
