The economic situation of Poland's building and construction sector will improve – but in a year's time, shows a report from the CEEC Research council. The European Council of Construction Economists (CEEC) reports a significant fall in the value of the Polish construction sector – every second firm has half as many contracts as the year before.
However, the CEEC predicts that the situation will improve in 2010-2011 with a growth of about 2.3 percent.
“Fortunately, according to construction firm predictions, the years 2010 and 2011 should make up for this year's dramatic losses,” says Steven Baxted from the real estate and construction sector department at KPMG auditors.
