Mario, before you discredit Poland's role in the fall of communism maybe you can learn something from this timeline. Maybe you can read a history book or visit a museum. Stop listening to the voices in your head. Stop accusing us and fabricating alleged problems with other countries. Maybe you should focus on the problems in your own backyard. No matter what you say or what you do you will still feel angry at yourself. There is nothing you can do to quell the guilt you feel that keeps you up at night. The day your heart quit will be the day we all smile.

  • Mario 09.11.2009 17:36 ML, I'm not discrediting anyone. I'm just trying to set the facts straight. Polish-centric world view is really funny for the rest of the world. And when people laugh at you the only thing you can do is to wish for their death. Pretty pathetic. Mario

  • ML 09.11.2009 18:55 Mario, your "facts" a flawed by your biased ideals and opinions. How do you not expect me to get angry when you call the perspective of Polish people "Polish-centric." Its ignoramuses like you that look for things and force yourself to laugh. Little do you know that you are the butt of your own jokes and comments. Now you generalize Poland based on my comments, you prove my point and hatred for you. And yeah I am not gonna lie, I wish you ceased to exist. ML
  • SuperMario 09.11.2009 19:09 Regular Mario, do you work for this website? I see your dumbass comments on every article. They must pay you or something. No one can be that sad to look to get into verbal fight on the internet. You are what is wrong with the internet. It gives anonymous jackasses an outlet to show their true colors and what they are really thinking. If you have nothing nice or constructive to say then...keep your mouth shut. I'm sure your two daddies taught you that lesson. Oh that's right, they were too busy wrestling together and doing pushups on each other to watch little Mario as he was being defiled by the family dog. SuperMario
  • dunderhead 09.11.2009 22:17 I think all the above can be said about you, Supermario. You have just spent too space slagging someone and not commenting on what is in the article.

The question you should be discussing is - what were the major factors in the fall of communisn? To hear many Americans go on about this you would think that Ronnie Regan did it all by himself. The real reasins were

    a) the Soviet system itself, which was imploding.
    b) the guts shown by the people of Poland, et al...

  • marcin 09.11.2009 22:49 As a 'Polish-Centric' can I just add to the history of 1989 by revealing to those who may not be aware (this probably includes you Mario) that the start of the fall of Communism in the Soviet Union started in Lublin (that's in Eastern Poland, Mario) in 1981 by a group of workers, some of whom later gave their lives for freedom. A trait that the Polish people have always shown certainly for the last 250 years of attempts to wipe their country off the map, which although that happened prior to 1918, the Polish people maintained their individuality and continued to fight for their right to exist. marcin
  • dunderhead 09.11.2009 23:23 The start of communism began about 1920...or somewhere. It was doomed from the start. It never had a majority support in any country it was introduced in. And the way they ran the command economies was so stupid....

In Poland both the above apply. No real support. Any Polish communists there were got murdered by Stalin etc. and the way they ran the economy....every ten years or so they put up prices of bread etc by 100%...and then start scratching their heads when they get a riot on their hands....

The only way they kept it going for so long was by putting people inside walls...
