Polish shop in Bristol attacked with acid

25.11.2009 17:19

A Polish food shop, ‘Sklep Polski’, in Whitchurch, Bristol, had butyric acid thrown into it by hooligans on Tuesday.

Four of five masked hooligans threw bottles with a foul-smelling substance through the door at about 5.40 GT.

After the attack, which caused breathing difficulties among staff, three employees were examined and treated in a decontamination unit.

The substance, which smells like cheese and vomit, turned out to be a non-toxic butyric acid. However, the food from the shop is no longer edible.

The police are examining CCTV footage to identify suspects. The incident is being treated as suspicious and possibly racially motivated. (mg)

Why are they treating the incident as suspicious? Is it abnormal in the UK to throw acid into a store?

Poles in UK should use British shops and not set up Polski Sklepy where everything is in Polish. This is the only answer. UK is UK and Poland is Poland. If Polaks like Poland so much they should stay put in Polska.

Yeah!
They should also stop setting up Polish organisations, speaking in Polish, thinking in Polish, listening to Polish music, watching Polish films, wearing Polish clothes and having Polish facial features. Then they could become right little Poms!

Gordon Brown was meeting Barak Obama at a conference. Obama asked him how Britain had changed since the Labour party came to power. Brown sent a text to 10 Downing Street asking for an update. A few minutes later his phone received a reply. Brown looked surprised. Obama asked "Is there a problem?". Brown replied "I don't understand the the reply, IT'S IN ARABIC".
Long live Poland.
Criminals and illegal immigrants do what they like in Britain now. If the police catch them, the courts will let them go free. If an elderly person is attacked by a gang of thugs and defends themselves they will be charged and the thugs will be let off. In Britain it is easier to charge the victim than the perpetrators of a crime.

Stop over reacting. There are many British morons in the Uk who are an embarrassment to the British people, but it doesn't make a nation. We have a crap education system producing uneducated youths who have never been further than the local chip shop and goign to another city is like going away so you have to feel sorry for them that they have nothing better to do.

I feal jeulous that in my country Iceland, Icelanders and Poles have a such a good relationship, except some minor incident ever since Poles began to migrate in the 1970's. Even though we are different nations, we have many things in common, except that we Icelanders are not very religious.

My English friend is always complainig that England will be taken over by moslems. He doesn't seem to be worried about Poles. Personally I think that princess Ann and Camilla would look good in a burka.

I agree with Richard's and Tom's comments about this incident, but Peter Pan is an idiot.
