Two injured in helicopter crash

An air ambulance has crashed at an airport in Warsaw, injuring a pilot and navigator. 

 

The catastrophe happened at 14.30 CET, while the helicopter was landing at the airport in the Warsaw district of Bemowo. It probably resulted from a rotor and propeller failure.  

 

“The aircraft is seriously damaged. Two people were hospitalized,” said Pawel Fratczak, spokesperson for the fire service.  

 

According to some sources, the helicopter Agusta A 109, made in Italy, was on its test flight. (mg)
