Komorowski and Sikorski to go head-to-head

16.03.2010 17:38

Parliamentary speaker Bronislaw Komorowski and Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski – who are vying for the votes of members of their Civic Platform party in the presidential primaries – will hold a televised debate on Sunday.

The results of the vote by the party’s 46, 000 members are to be announced on 27 March.

Opinion polls suggest that Komorowski leads the race within the party ranks.

Civic Platform supporters, too, seem to favour the Speaker of Parliament. According to the GfK Polonia pollster, 60 percent of the party’s electorate support Komorowski. Fifty seven year-old Komorowski has been a member of Parliament since 1989. He served as Defense Minister ten years ago. (kk)

I love how the media is blowing this issue up like it's the only thing going on in Poland. Why don't they talk about the deficit in the budget or the gambling commission. Start thinking for yourself and not what the overpaid media corporations are telling you!
