Your vote, our Europe!

05.06.2009 18:25

Welcome to the last part of our guide to the policies of all the main political groups standing in the Euro-elections this Sunday.

On June 7, all European citizens living in Poland and Poles abroad will have a chance to elect their representatives to the European Parliament.

Below, Polish Radio External Service gives you a unique guide to the parties and their views on the most important issues.  We sent a blank questionnaire to every electoral committee and asked them to fill it out in English. Our questions relate to the main issues currently discussed in Europe. Not only the economic crisis and environmental issues, but also immigration policy and the role of religion values in European politics.

We have not edited the answers in any way.

On Tuesday we asked them: is global warming a serious issue for the EU? On Wednesday we looked at the role of religion in the EU and does the 27 nation bloc need the Lisbon Treaty. Yesterday we looked at the parties’ view on immigration and whether Turkey should become part of the union. Finally, today we ask them about their views on single currency adoption for Poland and what to do about the finance crisis.

The parties a listed below in keeping with the official order as set out by the Electoral Commission.
