American soldiers beat up taxi driver in Sopot

The Police from the Baltic city of Sopot are investigating the circumstances of an incident that occurred over the weekend in the resort.

A taxi driver has apparently been beaten up by a group of American soldiers. Reportedly, the men disagreed over the price of the taxi ride.

The taxi driver was taken to hospital, where he was examined and sent home. The suspects were interrogated and sent back to USS "Hewes" currently at the nearby port in Gdynia.

Further police proceedings may take place at the request of the victim.
