EU questions Polish-Russian gas contract

European Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger is on a 2-day visit to Poland to investigate the Polish-Russian extended gas contract that would secure deliveries of natural gas to Poland until 2037 and is set to be signed by the Polish government this month.

Magdalena Jensen reports

The gas agreement, awaiting ratification by the Polish government, is undergoing scrutiny from the European Commission, to determine whether or not it is in accordance with current EU regulations.
