Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright is coming to Warsaw, today, for talks with President Kaczynski and conferences on politics and health.
She is to meet with Poland’s President Lech Kaczynski, as well as take part in the 13th Tischner Debate on the values in the international politics. Albright is also to participate in a conference devoted to the issue of fighting cervical cancer.
Madeleine Albright was the first woman to become US Secretary General. She stayed in office from throughout the second term of the Clinton presidency, 1997 until 2001.
Albright currently serves as chairperson of National Democratic Institute For International Affairs (NDI). She is also involved in the Women's Ministerial Initiative established by the Council of Women World Leaders. (jm)
