No breakthrough expected after Katyn celebrations

05.02.2010 15:30

Polish and Russian leaders will be in Katyn in April for the 70th anniversary of the massacre of Polish officers.

Michal Kubicki reports

The presence of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in the Katyn ceremony is surely a positive development. What will be of primary importance, however, is what he says in his address on the occasion.

  • Sam Spade 05.02.2010 23:44 Putin should come to terms with what the NKVD did in 1940. The evidence is overwhelming. Only a consumate fool can not see the truth. Russia's history is black and there is not enough whitewash in the world to continue to try to cover it over. Sam Spade
