The line-up announced by Jerzy Brzęczek on Monday includes high-performing strikers Robert Lewandowski and Krzysztof Piątek.

Fresh faces include midfielder Szymon Żurkowski from Polish top-flight side Górnik Zabrze.

Poland will play their first Euro 2020 qualifier against Austria in Vienna on March 21.

Three days later the Poles will take on Latvia in their next qualifying fixture in Warsaw.

Poland were in December drawn to play Austria, Israel, Slovenia, Macedonia and Latvia in qualifiers for the Euro 2020 football championships.

The Polish team was among the top seeds for the draw in Dublin despite a string of disappointing performances last year.

Qualifiers will be played between March and November, with the top two teams from each group qualifying directly for the championships.

The Euro 2020 tournament will be held from June 12 to July 12, 2020 in 12 cities around Europe, with the final played at London's Wembley Stadium.

The venues are Amsterdam, the Netherlands; Baku, Azerbaijan; Bilbao, Spain; Bucharest, Romania; Budapest, Hungary; Copenhagen, Denmark; Dublin, Ireland; Glasgow, Scotland; Munich, Germany; Rome, Italy; and St. Petersburg, Russia; in addition to London.

Poland made it through to the quarterfinals of the Euro 2016 championships in France, losing to Portugal on penalties.

Brzęczek took over as Poland manager last summer after the national squad’s early exit from the World Cup in Russia.
